DETAILED TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Governing Download and Use of Images

-
By viewing the website, you agree and understand that the text, graphics and digital images on the site are the property
of DDB Stock Photography and the professional photographers represented by the agency. Every image on the site is protected
by the US Copyright Act of 1976,
incorporated provisions of the Berne Convention for the
Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, and the Digital Millennium
Act of 1998 that incorporates the 1996 World Intellectual Property
Organization Copyright Treaty. You may not download, display, or use images from the Website in any manner not indicated
above without permission.
-
Our contributing photographers spend thousands of dollars on equipment, film, travel, processing,
and captioning to create and make these images available. They rely on the proceeds from the lease of these
images to support themselves and their families. However:
-
you may download images freely if you are a professional photo researcher, photo editor, or art director,
but you will need passwords to display and work with the high resolution TIFF images. Call 225-763-6235 or email
info@ddbstock.com for passwords and additional information on the images. Pricing guidelines are available
HERE. As a courtesy, we provide watermarked comps that you can download and use
for in-house layout and composition.
-
Images prepared for download are 300 dpi at dimensions previously agreed upon. Clients may request digital images at 300 dpi up to
16 x 24 inches. Images are left up for download on our site for a period of 7 days to ensure you have sufficient time to download
your selections. All digital images set-up for download are strictly rights managed and may not be used until a pricing and usage
agreement has been negotiated. Many clients have pre-negotiated prices or program rates and may use downloaded images within the
scope of the existing agreements, provided purchase orders are sent to DDB Stock Photography for such usage.
-
Please delete the original image file after use or save it in an extremely secure location on encrypted hard drive or off the network
on CD or DVD media. Please ensure such files are coded to DDB Stock Photography so their provenience is not lost. Digital high resolution
files are digitally coded to the project, client, and requester. Protection of copyrighted digital files are the clients responsibility.
The client must take all reasonable precautions to ensure high resolution image files from DDB Stock Photography are not copied and reused
in any manner by any other entity or third party without permission from DDB Stock Photography. If they are, then proprietary, invisible
watermarks that reference the original project, company, and requester will be traced back to the original submission and an invoice will
be submitted for the unlicensed usage.
Double click the image at the URL previously identified to start file download. Select save to disk and direct the download to the
appropriate subdirectory on your computer. Please contact us immediately if there are any problems with high resolution digital image
files set-up for download so we can resolve them.
